I’m Sofiia. A graphic designer, a YA writer, and… a traveler. But not the kind who takes a package tour once a year to the beach. No, I need something different.

I’ll hitchhike a thousand kilometers while others book a flight. Sleep in an IKEA showroom instead of a cozy hotel. Get lost in the most dangerous part of town instead of following tourist maps. Walk 50 kilometers rather than take a taxi. Pick supermarket sandwiches over a fancy restaurant. Take the aisle seat next to the bathroom instead of a VIP ticket. And that’s just the beginning.

But for me, it’s all about people. I often travel solo to experience a city through its locals. On a train, a bus, a park bench, or a random street corner—there’s always someone to talk to. I have stories to share, but even more, I love to listen. Because I’m a writer.

And I absolutely love Couchsurfing. Arriving in a new city and finding a crew? Easy. Staying with a local to see the world through their eyes? A must. Cooking dinner together, playing board games, hitting a bar, or just wandering the streets at night? I’m always up for an adventure.

Where life will take me next—I have no idea. But one thing is certain: wherever I go, I’ll always find people who get me.
