Hi! My name is Gitte and I’m 21 years young :)! I’m currently studying psychology in The Netherlands, in the beautiful city called Nijmegen. I love to travel around and meet new people.

I love to have deep conversations with people all around the world, because I love to learn new things about other peoples culture and background. It really opens up your mind to get in contact with people you wouldn’t have met at home :). Plus I love to see happy faces, because it makes me happy to see people being happy.

I used to dance (all sorts of types) and play field hockey. Now, I enjoy trying out new sports and find new hobbies to do. I also enjoy cooking a bit, so I could learn you how to make dutch food or even Asian or Italian food. I never ever sit still and I always have something to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would loooove to meet knew people and learn a lot from locals! I think that’s the best way to discover a country. I am very easygoing and openminded and I think couchsurfing is a perfect way to get to know new people :).

I’m also very new on couchsurfing, so I think it’s nice to experience new things! I’m very curious in what kind of community I will get in and maybe one day I will host people myself!

Favorite book: oeh difficult one, I haven’t read a good book in a very long time (which I should), so I don’t know to be honest…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things! But I’m the girl that loves the little things in life. Enjoying the birds sing, feeling the sun on my skin, the sound of the ocean, playing on the guitar and singing together.

For the bigger things: I loved to skydive on a little island in The Netherlands or dive in Thailand!
