Overview
About Me
I have always believed that people meet each other at the exact moment they are meant to. Sometimes it is a conversation that lasts five minutes. Sometimes it becomes a friendship that carries you across years. What matters to me are those small, honest moments when two people recognize something familiar in one another. I travel for those moments as much as I travel for the places themselves.
I am based in New York and spend a lot of time moving between cities in the United States and Europe. I love learning languages because it lets me step into someone else’s world with a little more care. Right now I am working on my French and always looking to practice.
Professionally I work at NYU supporting alumni communities across the globe and have spent more than eight years building programs for first generation and foster care students. I also run a college readiness consulting business where I help families navigate the path to higher education. My work is rooted in connection, storytelling, and making sure people feel seen wherever they are on their journey.
When I travel I like slow mornings, long conversations, sharing food, exploring neighborhoods on foot, and letting the city reveal itself one corner at a time. If we cross paths I hope it feels like one of those moments that could last only a short while or maybe much longer, but either way leaves something good behind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think couch surfing is an amazing way to connect with people from all over the world and experience different cultures. We've had some incredible travel experiences in the past, but we've found that the best moments always come from the people you meet along the way. We're excited to have the opportunity to open up our home to fellow travelers and learn from their unique perspectives.
Interests
In our free time, we enjoy going to live performances, eating out, and learning American Sign Language. We are also a big fan of a cozy night in with a glass of wine on the couch with good company.
