Overview
About Me
Backpacking/volunteering through Latin america, learning how to be more sustainable and overall in harmony with nature; at some point would love to plant my own garden or small farm ☀️
I grew up in an immigrant home in a small agricultural town so im often fascinated by the history of local places/migration etc. I am most passionate about health equity, environmental justice, and reading (historical fiction, poetry, memoirs, and non-fiction related to (im)migration, farmworkers, and; u.s. + LatinAmerican politics generally).
I most enjoy getting to know a new place by taking public transportation love collecting new metro cards. I love finding local spots, learning local history, and eating amazing food! I'm also getting back into cooking so if you have tips or a favorite food to make im all ears :-) oh, also music reccs !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to meet locals while I travel ! I strive to be an intentional traveler and really enjoy building connections with folks wherever I go. I've been volunteering/traveling throughout latin america for over a year and have most enjoyed the times when I get to meet local people, learn local customs histories foods etc and learn more about our connected world. I especially love bonding over food, books, or nature.
I haven't been able to host *yet🤞🏻* since I started to use cs when I started backpacking and I haven't had a stable place to host from in a while, hopefully at some point I'll be able to show the same kindness and selflessness I've been so gracious to receive in my travels ☺️💫
