Sobre mí

Hi!! I’m Ana.

I’m Brazilian and new to Couchsurfing. I’m a circus artist specializing in hula hoops, and I studied Theater Directing at university.

I’ve been passionate about movement and art my whole life. When I was only three years old, I started practicing classical ballet, and since then I’ve never stopped being involved with sports and artistic expressions. Movement is a big part of who I am and how I move through the world.

I live in a city in the south of Brazil where, unlike what many people imagine about Brazil, it actually gets really cold in the winter (And I hate that).

I love spending time in nature, hiking and camping. I also really like traveling, especially in a slower way, staying longer in one place and experiencing a place beyond the tourist perspective.

I’m excited to meet people and exchange experiences along the journey.

Here is mi instagram than you can see a little what I do (: https://www.instagram.com/anacircus

Europe Trip — May to August

In May, I’ll start a three-month journey around Europe, visiting different cities and countries while busking as a circus street performer with hula hoops. Busking is a way for me to support my travels while sharing my art with people in the streets.

I’ll be traveling with my partner, Rodrigo. We are a couple who really love traveling together! I’m very excited because it will be my first time visiting most of the countries on this trip.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I’ve had some experiences staying in the homes of people I didn’t know before, and it was an incredible way to make new friends and see how other people live their everyday lives. These experiences enriched the way I see and live my own life.

It was in Brasil and Argentina. They didn’t happen through Couchsurfing, but they inspired me to join the community so I can continue sharing experiences with people along the way.

Música, películas y libros

I love Brazilian music, like samba and bossa nova. I really enjoy watching documentaries. My favorite books are O Avesso da Pele and Torto Arado. Both are contemporary novels by Brazilian authors.

Algo increíble que he hecho

When I was 16, I did an exchange program through the Rotary Club and lived for 8 months in a small town in southern Mexico called Puerto Escondido. I stayed with a host family and attended a local school, which gave me the opportunity to experience everyday life from a different cultural perspective. It was a very inspiring experience at such a young age, and it sparked my curiosity about the world and about connecting with people from different backgrounds.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I’m happy to share some stretching, movement or circus practice if you’re curious! Also I’d love to cook a Brazilian dinner.

I’m also very happy to help around the house if needed. I love dogs and cats, enjoy spending time with children, and I can help with things like cleaning, dishes, or even taking care of your plants 💛
