Overview
About Me
I am now a single mother of 2 children (11 and 13).
For the past five years we have been living in a cooperative housing project. Basically it is a renovated farmhouse with 6 private appartements and a great deal of collective/common living space (big kitchen, 2 guest bedrooms (each sleeps 2 guests comfortably, 3 if you want to put a mattress on the floor)., workroom, arts and crafts room, open space offices... you get the idea).
I am a professional sleep consultant who helps families who have identified challenges, around sleep with their children, to find and implement solutions. In a former life I was a high-school Biology and Chemistry teacher.
Our family is very musical (sing, dance, play instruments) but also enjoy an active lifestyle. We adhere to a lifestyle of "little is more" and when we travel appreciate an authentic contact with the local community.
We have been members of couchsurfing since 2004. However, after I married used my husband's account for 10 years. My husband passed away in a mountain accident and therefore I have created a new account for our family. Our previous account was David and Cherene Grunberg Corsier-sur-Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland, which has past references if you wish to explore further.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I value the possibility of traveling and visiting people simply. The rooted contact within the community in which we are staying is invaluable in our traveling experience.
I enjoy meeting people who are passionate about something.
