Hi,
My name is Eva and I study to become a primary school teacher. Teaching is something which has always interest me, because it links to so many subjects for example that it has to do with societal issues regarding social injustice.

Furthermore, I would describe myself as a positive person, who likes good talks, making good connection and who loooooves to dance. Good food makes me happy as well, especially when shared and cooked with others. I enjoy being outside in nature it always makes me more relaxed. But the hustle of the city can be nice as well, since I like going to the cinema, the theatre, music concerts or just going out for a drink!
To me it is important to make people feel seen and heard, so I always try to actively listen and ask questions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to travel cheap, so that I can travel for a longer period of time. Also I think it is a great way to meet local people and see the city through non-touristic eyes, whilest learning from each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like good music on which I can dance to, right now I'm a huge fan of Froukje (she is a Dutch young artist with poetic lyrics that are very relatable and vulnerable)! But Tame Impala, The Beatles and classical music are something I enjoy as well. But I also like to play the piano and some ukelele, but no expections in both I'm a complete beginner!

Movies:
I'm not that much into movies, however I can enjoy a good art house film, but child movies are also nice! I'm just not a fan of horror!!

Books:
I found myself reading more since corona. Then I finally got the time to do so. I'm still figuring which books I enjoy the most. For now it was 'girl, woman, other' and some Dutch books that really made me think.
