My name is Vu Minh Khue, you can also call me Meika. Im a Vietnamese exchange student in Germany.

I moved to Germany from the middle of March 2023. I only have 6 months living here, and it is also the first time I came to Europe.

About myself, I am a 19 years old girl that really want to explore the world. Im a disciplined, clean and punctual person.
In Vietnam, I was nearly restricted to go out and play with friends, all things I can do are just staying at home and studying, luckily that I can hit the gym😁 Therefore I don’t have much friends and I can feel that the world outside, there are tons of things that I should know. Last year, I caught the chance to apply for an exchange program of my home university, luckily that I passed it and right now Im living and studying in Germany.

Thats why I want to take this best time to explore Europe, make new international friends, understand new cultures and especially, become more confident in myself!

Being a student, I do not have much budget for my traveling, but it does not mean that I just go to other countries to inform others that I have been there (like going to some famous places and taking pictures, then coming back home😆). Of course, it saves money but I cannot explore the countries in detail.

The things I really want here is learning the tradition, culture, history, special cuisine of places I come to. Besides, I also love to making new friends around the world as a way to know more about other perspectives of life and also improving my English skill😊

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I did travel to 6 countries in Europe (Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland), but I just stayed in hostels or hotels. I realized that staying there, I cannot meet locals and explore traditional things. I really want to stay in a traditional house, have traditional meals and talk to locals there. That is what I want most when traveling to other places🥰

Ah, I even want to live in locals’ house right at the place I live - Nürnberg. Im staying in a single apartment of student dormitory so I cannot get in touch with much locals. Sometimes I really get bored since I don’t have much friends here. I hope Couch Surfing can help me to achieve my goal❤️

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I solo travelled to Austria just only 1 month coming to Europe. It is one of the life time experience, it is my first time traveling alone, especially to another country.

I really enjoyed it, I met lots of new nice friends during my solo trip. Furthermore, I can enjoy and feel everything better. I realized that I am just a tiny girl in this amazing world, I should take my time to travel and explore new things as much as I can do!
