Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has always been more than just finding a place to sleep — it's about real human connection.
I’ve had great experiences meeting locals through this platform — learning from their way of life, sharing stories, and feeling part of something, even just for a short while.
After a few personal changes, I felt the need to move, explore, and meet kind people along the way.
I'm not the best cook and I'm not fluent in many languages, but I'm always respectful, curious, and open to listen and share. If you're interested in Portuguese or want to know more about my culture, I'd be happy to exchange.
I believe that even short connections can have a big impact, and I hope to make this trip meaningful by meeting people who think the same way. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The music just has to be quality — not necessarily “good music”, because taste is personal. I'm always open to discovering new artists from most musical genres. I’d say I’m musically eclectic.

Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of films, so it’s hard to pick just one favorite. But if I had to name a few that really stuck with me, I’d say: About Time, The Shawshank Redemption, The Prestige, and Palm Springs.

The book that impacted me the most — and made me start reading regularly — was The Alchemist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a trip between Portugal and Spain with the objective of being (or trying to be) self-sufficient during the journey. I even managed to hitchhike over a dozen times, covering more than 1500km in total.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of the Portuguese language and share some strategies for traveling self-sufficiently. I also desire to learn about the places I will visit, such as interesting facts, culture, and history.
Moreover, I am eager to share moments of good humor, conversations, and the exchange of experiences.
