Xuefen Zhang& Shu Chen

We’re still in college. Xuefen is currently pursuing a Master’s in engineering, and Shu will be starting his Master’s in architecture in Germany in October2024. We are fluent in Chinese and English and are learning French and German. We love traveling together, exploring different cities, and discovering nature.

Despite being very different in personality—Shu prefers having plans, visiting architectural sites, museums, and galleries, while Xuefen is more spontaneous, enjoying aimless strolls down random streets—we met during a trip and have been together for a long time. Sometimes we seem quiet because we’re introverted, but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy conversation. We love learning about cultures from around the world.

INTERESTS🎸
We have a wide range of hobbies: Xuefen is a certified yoga instructor with seven years of experience and enjoys hiking and cycling, while Shu plays the piano and guitar and is passionate about photography. We would love to share everything we know and hope to immerse ourselves in authentic local life.

PLAN🏠
We’re saving up to build our own house, which will be designed by Shu (possibly in Germany, Japan, or Yunnan, China, who knows hahaha). When the time comes, we would be thrilled to host people from all over the world.
