About Me

Hey, my name is Sierk. I just graduated from school in Germany and want to try travelling on a budget for a bit. I would like to connect with locals wherever I travel and learn about their culture and everyday life. I believe Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to do that.

I enjoy learning and trying out new things, especially experiencing other cultures. I love sports and outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, climbing and cycling. At home, I spend my time hanging out with friends, playing football and tennis, bouldering, and playing video games. I'm also interested in sustainability, technology and physics.

I will be travelling to Japan from September till March 2025.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This Fall I want to visit Japan. It will be my second time travelling alone and my second time couch surfing. I couch surfed before last year in the UK. I met amazing hosts in England and want to try it again in Japan.
I really like meeting local people and learn about how they live and couch surfing is probably best way to do that.
