We are new on Couchsurfing, started on July 2023 when we started our journey to Australia by bike ! 😁

We are a couple, Tanguy and Madeleine, and are originally from Paris and from Normandie. We were both engineers before we decided to take a year off and travel by bicycle 🚴🏻‍♀️

Our objective is to reach Sydney and we’ve already cycled through Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

When you travel, when you are far from home for months, years, you realize that feeling safe is the most important things and it can change everything. It is not in comfort, in a warm shower or a good meal, no, it could be a place or a person, it is a feeling, it is trust and this matters more than the rest.

Once my trip is over, I wish I will have the opportunity to offer a safe and nice place to travelers who need one, as I’ve been offered many time on the road.

📚 am currently reading the books I find in Guesthouse on the way. Just finished one called “Belle Greene”. One of my favorite book is “A thousand white women” and “The alchemist”. I really love to share good stories and books with others ☺️

🎬 I am a dreamer and a film and TV show addict. Even during our trip, I always find some time to watch some 🤫 I immerse myself into the story, the colors, the emotions… I could spend hours to debate on movies and discover new ones to watch ! My favorite movies are “The grand Budapest Hotel” and “The secret life of Walter Mitty”.

Same for music, I am always listening to music but I really need to discover new ones as my playlist didn’t change for the last 10 years 😂 I don’t have a favorite type, it is just about feelings!

We Climbed the « Roof of Indochina » in Vietnam 🏔️

I Participated to a car race through France, Spain and Marocco 🏎️

We dived in Ténériffe and Jordania 🤿

We skied in Bulagaria ⛷️

We are travelling the world by bicycle ! 😊
