Overview
About Me
We’re visiting from Cape Town on little trip around the U.S.
Zach - just graduated with a BA in Art majoring in sculpture. Big time lover of food. I also run a little food co-op collecting farms with households in the city.
Caleb is a jazz vocalist and teacher. He’s just spent a couple years performing in Spain after finishing a music and education degree, and is now coming back into his jazz era.
We love food and exploring and beaches and meeting chilled people. If we’re dancing, it’s to house music.
While we don’t have a place of our own yet, we cannot wait to host people from around the globe in Cape Town :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently I’m (Zach) reading White Malice, on the CIA and the neocolonisation of Africa, and to balance it out, some Rumi.
Caleb is reading Rupaul’s autobiography and The Making of a Waterslams, about queerness and Islam in Cape Town.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Weekly grilled cheese night! Had an exhibition on queerness and religion with the Desmond Tutu centre.
Teach, Learn, Share
We both love where we come from. Talking about South Africa and Cape Town. Justice. Art in South Africa. History. Decolonization. Food culture. Queerness. Queerness and religion. South African jazz. Everything. And we are so curious to learn about everywhere else.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food. Cooking. Cleaning. Gross chores you’ve been avoiding 😝 Money contribution. Whatever might be helpful and appreciated ❤️
