Hi!

My name is Charlene, I was introduced to couchsurfing by a great friend who used it themselves a few years ago! Currently I am a newly graduate from California State University Long Beach with a Liberal Arts degree.

For the Summer, I decided it is crucial to travel internationally, return with more knowledge and experiences from a different point of view for grad school. I've always enjoyed traveling and volunteering, while learning about peoples' background or historical places. I live my life by keeping an open-mind and having the courage to try new adventures or opportunities at least once.

As an extroverted person, I want to make an impact anywhere and learn best with a hands on approach. There's a saying "You help yourself by helping others." and “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
