About Me

Hi! My name is Emre.

I’ve been living in Tekirdağ for quite a long time, spending most of my time working but I wasn’t truly happy with that lifestyle. So I decided to leave it all behind and finally follow my childhood dream: traveling the world.

With a big leap of courage, I’m getting ready to say goodbye to my job, my hometown, and everything familiar to start this journey. There are many personal reasons behind this decision, and I’d love to share them over a good conversation I really have a lot to talk about!

I’m a motorcycle enthusiast with a passion for speed and someone who enjoys long nature walks. I also love learning new languages and exploring different cultures that’s one of the reasons Couchsurfing excites me so much.

I’m friendly, respectful, and always open to meaningful connections. I believe every person has a unique story, and I’m looking forward to hearing yours as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe traveling is not just about seeing places it’s about meeting people, exchanging cultures, and growing through real human connection. Couchsurfing is a perfect way to experience that.

As I begin my journey around the world, I hope to meet locals, learn from them, and maybe become friends for life. I’m also happy to help in any way I can during my stay sharing stories, helping with chores, or just bringing good vibes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I like music that makes me feel like I’m moving either on a motorcycle or in my thoughts. Sometimes I get lost in long instrumental solos, sometimes I enjoy old Turkish rock that reminds me of dusty roads. Lately, I’ve been discovering music from different countries I want to visit it’s like traveling with my ears before my feet get there.

Movies:
I’m drawn to films that aren’t just entertainment but feel like a journey. I often rewatch Baraka or Samsara no dialogues, just raw visuals and emotion. Also, movies about solitude or self-discovery hit home for me. I guess I see a part of myself in them.

Books:
I enjoy books that make me close the cover and just sit there thinking. I’m not into long series I prefer something short that punches the heart. I’m currently reading travel journals and trying to find stories that match the road I’m about to walk. If a book smells like freedom or makes you want to pack a bag, it’s probably on my list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, I just decided to stop everything my job, my routine, the safe path and follow the dream I’ve had since I was a child: to travel the world. It wasn’t planned for years. It was a moment of clarity, courage, and maybe a little madness. I chose the road, not knowing what’s ahead and that, to me, is amazing enough.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you some Turkish words and phrases especially the ones you won’t find in textbooks! I also know a thing or two about Turkish culture, road travel, and maybe even how to balance on a motorcycle.

Learn:
I’m always curious about how people live and think. I want to learn new languages, new foods, and new ways of seeing the world. Every person I meet is like a new page in a book I haven’t read yet and I want to read as many as I can.

Share:
Stories, music, silence, laughter. I’m happy to share what little I have a meal, a song, a walk, or just a good conversation under the stars. I believe every shared moment makes the road feel less lonely and more meaningful.
