My friends and neighbours describe me as a friendly, easy going and open-minded person who likes to laugh, listen to others, speak with and enjoy other peoples‘ company. I am very social: I communicate with everybody when I am on my way.
I am French and live in Cologne (Germany), I speak French, German and English and I love to exchange views and experiences together with other people and I enjoy travelling and discovering our world 🤗. The next language I will learn will be Spanish to help me better communicate in South America where I would love to travel again soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel in my own way by meeting people and sharing their/our lives for a while and exchanging ideas and experiences with them, learning to know them, their culture and share their life and habits.

Interests

Enjoying Life, breathing and relaxing outdoor, meeting new people, cultures and mentalities, the beauty of nature and animals (I grew up in a rural area before my studies) and being open-minded. I prefer to be in smaller places enjoying the beauty of nature, away from the big crowds. But from time to time, i do enjoy big cities on holidays, for a shorter time, and sometimes I find it surprising to feel like in a village, even in big towns like Paris or New York. I originally come from Britany (France) and I really love being at the sea side, looking at the sea, being on the water and listening to seagulls 🎶. What I love in the winter is to light up a fire in the fireplace, listen to the dancing flames and walk in beautiful snowy landscapes, surrounded by the relaxing color white. My newest interest: Mountain Bike.

All music styles (i really enjoy singing along Jazz, pop, barber shop,…); films which make me dream (Les ailes du désir/Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders 1987, Buena vista social club, Wim Wenders 1999, Le mépris/Contempt by Godard 1963); films or podcasts making me travel in my imagination or giving me some more insights about topics of interest (animals, health & nutrition, meditation, travel, personal development, …)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Again and again when people I know or people I meet surprise me with their kindness and human nature.
And also: i noticed how much my quite new interest for applied buddhism (applied to „normal“ life) really helped me feel more centered and calm within myself, even in difficult times or situations. For me, I see buddhism as a really interesting philosophie of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Through my work as interpreter, I regularly get to know new people, areas and topics. I love it, to never stop learning new topics, with a beginner’s mind. I also teach adults regularly who want to learn my profession. I love to learn from others’s and share what I know and am also very interested in food (I really enjoy real food) and nutrition as a key to health. My mind is open to everything and everyone indeed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing my love for life, people, travel, food, cooking, sharing time and laughing together. Sharing a lot about our life’s experience.
I would enjoy helping preparing the lunch or dinner, helping you with a project in your home or garden, working with wood and lighting fire in the fireplace. I can offer to meditate together (if you are interested), doing some exercices & gentle mouvement to mobilise our back and help keep or gain back our body flexibility and do some stretching, in order to feel good in our body and keep pain away. Sharing these activities with you would help me too and motivate me too.
