Hey there! I’m Zeynep, l I always loved traveling and had my first backpacking experience with my sister last summer. But with my Erasmus exchange last year, I traveled a lot among Europe and had some amazing Couchsurfing experiences. Currently I’m back in Ankara, Turkey and I wanna host or at least spend some time with travelers here. I’m an easygoing person and I can easily come up with such topics to talk about all the time. I do enjoy discovering new people and their stories, so please fee free to share your stories, I’d love to listen, especially backpacking stories are highly encouraged.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned I want to have the full backpacker experience, back in my childhood I heard a lot about Couchsurfing experiences and I always wanted to be a part of it. Now that I have a full year ahead of myself in Europe, I want to be a part of this community, both giving and receiving amazing stories and people.

Interests

Well, I’m kinda into analog photography, I’ve been taking film photos for the last few months, and I carry my analog camera with me everywhere! So be ready to smile for the camera! (only if you want of course)
I’m also into art, trying different sketches from time to time, and I really enjoy seeing the art with my eyes, so I want to visit as many art museums and galleries as I can when I’m here, if you want to accompany me, I’d love that as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can show you my playlists on Spotify, it’s such a mess with tons of different kinds of music ahaha, but in general you can easily spot A LOT of Daft Punk, Pink Floyd and the Beatles songs on my repeat.

In terms of movies, I love cinematography and I’m trying to learn about cinema as much as I can, with trying different director’s movies, different perspectives. I’m into reading reviews and writing mine as well in Letterboxd, so if you are a cinema lover as well, feel free to discuss! I believe it’s an amazing form of art and it has a whole different meaning for every perspective. I just love it..

I can learn anything from you actually since I’m very curious about lots of stuff, but learning how to cook a favorite recipe of yours might amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you some Turkish dishes if you like! I really love cooking the people around me, I might say I’m a good cook as well :) We can enjoy our times together just chatting, sharing some stories, and some city walks. If you have time I’d love to spend some time with you, the locals are the best guides anyways!
