About Me
Hello! My name is Shawn kafuma and I'm looking to explore new places through hosting and surfing. In my free time I enjoy learning about different cultures through food, art and conversation. I'm always up for local recommendations of hidden gems off the beaten path. When I travel, I seek out authentic experiences over tourist spots. Meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of travel and I'm excited to welcome guests to share in the culture of Kampala, Uganda 🇺🇬. Feel free to contact me if you need suggestions for activities or have any other questions during your stay."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling upcountry, I volunteered at an orphanage. Seeing the joy in the children's faces from small acts of kindness left a deep impact. It reminded me of humanity's capacity for hope, even in difficult circumstances. Now through Couchsurfing, I aim to foster connections across cultures and communities and pay forward that sense of goodwill. Meeting new people broadens our shared understanding of the world.
