Overview
About Me
I'm Olivio! the most italian person you will probably know.
Piano is totally my jam – it's way more than just a hobby for me. I also get super into learning languages, mostly teaching myself. When I'm not tinkering on the keys or with vocab, I love hitting the tennis court or the gym. And yeah, I'm one of those people who still collects Pokémon cards and enjoys a good game! I work as a day trader in futures, which is pretty intense, but I also have a fun side gig as a pizza chef. I'm usually a quiet person, but I really enjoy connecting with people by listening to what they're passionate about. Apparently, I can be funny and genuine, which is cool! I'm a bit of a music history nerd (especially when it comes to piano) and have a soft spot for Japanese culture and movies. Meeting new folks and seeing how they live life is something I really dig.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's all about connecting with people through shared passions. As a big music lover and someone fascinated by different cultures, I'm excited by the prospect of meeting fellow enthusiasts and maybe even discovering some local musical gems or getting recommendations for amazing films I haven't seen.
Since I'm also a keen language learner, I'd love the chance to practice and hear languages spoken in their natural environment. Hearing firsthand about someone's culture and daily life is so much more enriching than just reading about it in a book.

Music, Movies, and Books
Right now, I'm completely captivated by Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 2 – it's a piece I'm currently learning, and every time I play it, I discover something new. Beyond the classical world, I've also been really enjoying the sounds of indie artists like Thundercat and Frank Ocean; they bring a cool, modern vibe that nicely complements my classical leanings.
When it comes to movies, I recently watched and fell in love with the Japanese film "Love Letter" (1995). Its atmosphere and storytelling really resonated with me.
As for books, Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" has been a significant read for me. It's offered some valuable perspectives on finding calm and resilience in life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the coolest things I ever did was pack a backpack in my early twenties and decide to move to Ireland. It was a bit of a leap into the unknown, but it turned out to be an incredible experience. I've met so many amazing people here and it's opened up a ton of unexpected doors for me. It definitely taught me the value of taking a chance!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm all ears when it comes to learning new languages – always up for practicing and maybe picking up some local slang! In return, I'm happy to help you with the languages I know or chat about anything I'm passionate about, like piano or music history.
More than just skills, I'm really into swapping stories and making good times happen. For me, Couchsurfing is about hanging out, learning from each other, and enjoying the simple, real moments.
What I Can Share with Hosts
You can expect a guest who is extremely organized, clean, and deeply respectful of your space, your culture, and your privacy. I bring a calm and positive energy to any environment. I'm always happy to share my passion for music and art, whether it's discussing favorite composers, exploring different genres, or just enjoying some tunes together. I'm also a good listener and enjoy engaging in thoughtful conversations.
