Hi! I'm Sofia and I'm starting a trip without fixed destination, hoping to meet new people, their culture and life perspective.
I really love nature, I specially like to explore it by hiking and cycling through the mountains.

I started traveling by bike since October 2024, going through Italy, Slovenia, Greece and Turkey.
During March and April 2025 I took a brake in Egypt and Jordan, accomplishing one my childhood dreams of meeting the Egyptian civilization, while I waited for Georgia to get warmer.

Since the beginning of May I'm back cycling heading East, going through central Asia towards South East Asia :)

Countries I visited: Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan , China and now I'm in Vietnam!
Any suggestions of these beautiful countries are welcome :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Para viajar haciendo amigos de todo el mundo y compartir y aprender de sus experiencias y la cultura del lugar donde viven. Creo que todos tenemos lugares secretos cerca de casa y es lindo poder compartirlos.

Cine: me gusta el drama, películas independientes, ciencia ficción, cualquiera que me deje con alguna sensación nueva y especial.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through the Amazon forest, got lost for over one day and walked out applying the minimum I knew about survival back then. There was a strong storm with thunders and falling trees around, we could only pitch the tent in the middle of nowhere to protect us from the rain and the night, surrounded by unknown animals in this wild paradise.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Share experiences with them and form new friendships. I'm up to go hiking or any outdoor activity, also we can cook together or maybe I can cook something from my country.
I'm always grateful and keep in my mind and heart all the people who showed their kindness to me on the road. This made my faith in humanity grow a bit more.
If they ever come to my far away country, I would be really happy to welcome and show them around, since I have a very good list of unknown places in Ecuador that I love.
