I am Julius Dela Rosa and my hometown is Marinduque, the heart of the Philippines.

Marinduque earned that title not only for being a heart-shaped island but also because of its geographical location in the archipelago. We are also known as the Butterfly Capital of the Philippines, supplying 85% of the country’s butterfly and pupa exports.

Most of all, Marinduque is famous for its’ Moriones Festival during the Lenten Season, which re-enacts the Passion of Christ and the story of a Roman soldier named Longinus.

We forge ahead with all of you, heralding with love and pride the Filipino identity to the world.
