Hi! I’m Raynice, a sociology professor and PhD researcher currently based in Germany. I work at a hotel that promotes Brazilian culture, which lets me share a bit of home with the world. I’m passionate about social justice, environmental causes, and exchanging ideas with people from different cultures. I love meaningful conversations, good food, and discovering the everyday beauty in new places.

Interests

I am a sociologist and anthropologist, currently doing my doctorate in sociology at the University of Coimbra. I am also passionate about philosophy. I come from the Brazilian Amazon, as a result, I developed a real interest in environmental issues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left Brazil in 2022, since then I have lived in four European countries, Italy, Portugal, Spain and I currently live in Germany. I already did volunteer work in Sicily, on a horse farm.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook typical Brazilian food and prepare some drinks, like our famous caipirinha. I can also help with the Portuguese language if you are interested in learning.
