Hi, I'm Ashik, a marine biologist and conservationist from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I work for the Wildlife Conservation Society, where I study and protect dolphins, sharks, and rays. I love nature, animals, and adventure. I also enjoy learning new languages, cultures, and cuisines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CouchSurfing because I want to meet new people and make friends around the world. I believe that hospitality exchange is a great way to experience different places and perspectives. I have hosted some travelers in my home in Dhaka. I always had positive and memorable experiences with them.

I am looking forward to exploring new destinations and hosting more guests in the future. I am open to any kind of travel or hosting request, as long as it is respectful and mutually beneficial. I hope to hear from you soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different genres and languages of music, but I have a special fondness for folklore, country music, and 90s songs. They charm me with their emotions and stories. Some of the artists I admire are Bob Marley, Klaus Meine (Scorpion), and Bob Dylan. I am always eager to discover new music and share it with others. If you are my host or guest, I would be happy to exchange music recommendations with you, and maybe even sing along if we can.

I also love movies that transport me to different worlds and times, and that tell me amazing stories of adventure, action, and drama. I have many favorite movies, but some of the ones that stand out are The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Matrix trilogy, The Terminator series, Rambo series, The Hobbit trilogy, The Godfather trilogy. Also, Avatar, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Kingdom of Heaven. I love these movies for their great characters, stunning visuals, thrilling plots, and powerful messages. I watch these movies repeatedly, and I always find something new and exciting. Furthermore, I would love to share my passion for these movies with you, and to hear your opinions and recommendations.
