Overview
About Me
I studied Sanskrit and Classical Indology (M.A.), Romani Studies (M.A.), and General Linguistics (Ph.D.), and now I work as a university teacher and researcher. My academic focus is currently on the Romani language: I have spent over a year conducting fieldwork on Romani dialects in Slovakia and Ukraine. At the same time, I have a special interest in the Indian subcontinent, especially its history, geography, and linguistic diversity.
I am an introverted and quiet individual who values (and needs) privacy and finds joy in peaceful environments. I'm also (near-)vegan, leaning towards lacto-vegetarianism when travelling. I love Indian cuisine, and I am addicted—quite literally—to green tea; I can't function normally without having it every day.
As a passionate walker, swimmer, and hiker, I also enjoy physical activity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started with couchsurfing in 2024 and I like its idea to connect people from different cultures.
My profile is not verified because I consider payable verification as a scam. I prefer to spend money for travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I proudly became a committed member of a Romani (Gypsy) family in Ukraine through a godparental relationship.
