My name's Barbora, and I'm from the small country of Slovakia 🇸🇰

As life goes on, my curiosity for the world grows. Now I have quite a different view than in the past; now I feel more determined to leave my comfort space,see and do new things!

I enjoy learning about new cultures and hearing stories about people's whereabouts, and I am looking forward to upcoming connections through my life journey !!

I had many jobs while studying, such as an animator in a hotel, bartender,
and I also used to be a ski instructor ⛷️
It was very rewarding. It gave me a sense of significance as I knew that I was giving kids something and they may remember the skills learnt and maybe even me, myself. While working as an animator and ski instructor, I loved the part of creating memories and having an impact on people's lives.

I did Erasmus in Zagreb, Croatia 🇭🇷 now I'm on another one in Coimbra, Portugal 🇵🇹 I think this experience just ignited the fire in me to keep exploring!! I've also lived in Malta 🇲🇹

I generally prefer Nature, being outdoors 🌳 I like pets, I had many indeed. Fun fact, I had a parrot 🦜, frogs 🐸 or walking sticks. Hoping to get my first cat soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm curious, I always heard about it from friends and now I'm interested in trying for myself. I feel like you can get a little slice of the "real life" of a person, see how the locals live and just to know another person better.
And I also hope I can share some of my culture with them :)
