I'm originally from the upper peninsula of Michigan. After hitchhiking across the country in 2015, I realized that traveling was one of the most beneficial things I could do for myself, and meeting people along the way is one of the most important factors in that.
I bounced around for a few years, mostly between California, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Now I live Kauai, and it's the longest I've stayed anywhere since I left home. I surf nearly every day and work on art in my free time. I don't travel nearly as much as I was; however, it feels good to be grounded and balanced.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used couchsurfing when I hitchhiked across the country in 2015 and met some awesome people. I don't travel as much as I used to, but figured I'd try it again for this quick Portland trip I'm doing in June. It would be nice to meet some interesting people. I may be able to offer a place to stay here on Kauai as well.
