Overview
About Me
Hey there, I'm İlayda, hailing from the breathtaking city of Antalya, Turkey. I have a degree as an Industrial Engineer in Turkey. I've found my passion in the realm of Information Technology auditing, currently working remotely for an international firm. But beyond that, I thrive on exploring the world and immersing myself in diverse cultures and languages.
Having spent 3.5 months in the United States, I've traversed through various cities including Idaho, Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington DC. Each corner of America painted a unique picture of diversity and vibrancy, leaving me hungry for more adventures.
My goal is to delve deep into the heart of each country, learning different languages, embracing different cultures, and forging connections that transcend geographical boundaries.
As a traveler, I believe in the magic of Couchsurfing – it's more than just a place to crash; it's an opportunity to exchange stories, share experiences, and form lifelong friendships. I'm particularly drawn to hosting women or couples, creating a safe and inclusive space for fellow adventurers to feel at home.
So whether you're a seasoned globetrotter or embarking on your first solo journey, I'm here to open my doors and my heart to fellow wanderers. Let's embark on this journey together.
Happy travels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a Turkish citizen, it’s very difficult to travel abroad due to the economic situation in Turkey and visa issues. Despite these challenges, I somehow managed to get visas from different countries and finally started traveling in 2023. For some people, this might not seem like a big achievement, but traveling had been a dream of mine for years—one that I struggled to make come true.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Turkish if you’re interested in.
I’d love to improve my English and learn some words in any language - this is my passion.
I’d love to share my travel stories and listen to yours.
