Hey! I am Stepan

I am a 21 y.o. student of law from Czech Republic 🇨🇿 currently living in Prague (from next year in France, Toulouse on my Erasmus stay!).

From my young age I traveled all around the world (f.e. Peru where they worked) with my parents, those who planted the first seed of my "travelmania" - need to see the whole world, different cultures, people, nature etc.

Now since I started getting around by myself it is always when I find a couple days of free time in my calendar and some money in my bank account I know I will not stay at home and that I will be exploring the world.

From the last year I've come to enjoy hitchhiking (mainly because so fun and adventurous it is and how many interesting people you meet) so much that I am planning to hitchhike from Georgia to my home country Czechia.

In this occasion I have subscribed Couchsurfing (as well I payed for the premium on accident 😂, yeah I know it is very useful 🤣) and I am hoping I will meet some interesting and openminded people/friends, who will give me a new perspective throughout my travels, as well as it is a good way how to save a dime 😄.

Overall I hate being a regular tourist who pay for a taxi, book five star hotel and go for the most crowded attraction 😅. I love to immerse into local culture, how local people live, behave and function. And the best and easiest way to do it is be communicative, kind and openhearted, I believe that I have all of these and that I will attract the similar people. Let's see 🙂

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exploring the world and meeting new people. That is why I am here on Couchsurfing hoping I am going to find someone nice to spend some time with and have a place to sleep lie my head on 😴

Mainly I want to get the best experience from the country I am visiting and I hope Couchsurfing could be the way 😌

Interests

Lacrosse 🥍, Basket ⛹️, reading 📖, guitar 🎸 and sometimes a good Czech beer 🍺😏

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I was never a regular kid who listen to rap and similar cool music. I always loved old-school rock 🤘. My all time favourite band is U2 🫶

Movie: 7 years in Tiber (if you haven't seen it yet, it's a big mistake!). From disney fairytales I love Shrek, mainly cause he is such a chill guy, who when I will be old I want to be 😂.

Books: I love adventure and openmindness. Therefore if you have any book with those two atributes, you know I will like it. My all time favourites are - Into The Wild, On The Road (great movie as well), One Hundred Years of Solitude and Little Big Man. (and of course if the mood hits a book from Bukowski appears in my hand 😏)

I have couple experiences with teaching. I teached English for one summer in Morocco school. Last year I have also the opportunity to teach Law at my formal high school.
