About Me
Greetings,
Turkish, live in Ankara/Türkiye.
📚 Student at Ankara Law School.
🧑🌾 As a student, I work during the summers to save money and travel. During the school year, I give private lessons (mathematics) in the winter months. So far, during the summers, I've worked in a washing machine factory, a cafe, a toy store, a kebab shop, and in a field. The most fun was working in the field :)
👍 I've traveled approximately 70% of Türkiye by hitchhiking, and I continue to do so. I did this while traveling and camping.
🦐 Shrimps is my interest. I'm interested in shrimp aquariums. I keep all sorts of colorful shrimp.
⛰️🚵🧭 Mountaineering, cycling, camping, rock climbing, orienteering and hiking are my hobbies.
🆘 I am also a disaster search and rescue volunteer and first aid officer.
👨💼 I am the president of the mountaineering club at my university. I enjoy being in nature all the time.
My purpose and philosophy;
-Happy people, happy world
-Help, share and be happy
-See everywhere you can on Earth
-Make sure you have a hobby
-Inform people
-Have a story
-Be positive
⚠️ I am currently either in your city or somewhere nearby. If you are in Ankara, you can write to me; I would be happy to help you with anything. We can visit the historical and touristic sites of the city together, and I can give you information. ***Also, useful information for travelers visiting Ankara is below***. I am currently staying in a student dormitory, so I cannot host you at my home. Of course, I can host you at my own home when I start working.
Transportation;
*Ankara has three different metro systems.There is also a suburban train.
* Those wishing to travel between cities will use Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal (ASTİ). To buy bus tickets, find the cheapest or most convenient times on Obilet.com.
*You can track all buses in the city via the EGOCEPTE application. Just enter the number of your stop.
*If you have a credit card with contactless feature, public transport costs 41 TL (~0.8 Euro) for one trip.
*Ankara card is the card we use for transportation within the city. One ride costs 35 TL, but if you scan it again within 90 minutes, it costs 17 TL.
*You can buy Ankara card from kiosks or ticket offices. (Card fee 113 TL ~ 2.2 Euro) You load money onto it and then use it.
*Airport - Kızılay (city center) 130 TL (~2.6 Euro) You can track it using the EGO CEPTE application by dialing 442. You can board from ASTİ or Kızılay.
*For the small blue minibuses (dolmuş), you pay in cash (TL) for the amount you need to travel.
*My recommendation is to use the metro and EGO bus for transportation.
(The prices I've listed are as of January 2026. Exchange rates and prices are constantly changing, please note.)
Food & Drink;
*Simit (Turkish bagel) is famous in Ankara. I recommend trying it with ayran (yogurt drink).
*Gülçimen Aspava Emek branch is a kebab restaurant with unlimited complimentary items. It's unique to Ankara. Try the SSK or Beyti kebabs.
Others;
*When exchanging money, prefer Kızılay and its surroundings. No commission is applied.
*Euro payments are generally not accepted. Either card or cash in Turkish Lira (TL).
* Places to visit that are not in the center of Ankara: -Soğuksu National Park
-Nallıhan Bird Sanctuary
-Elmadağ (for skiing in winter)
-Gordion, Polatlı
- Historic Beypazari houses
-Çamkoru National Park ( for camp)
