Overview
About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Pablo, founder of South Ethiopia Tours, guide companies rooted in the heart of Ethiopia and built on a passion for authentic cultural exchange, nature, and personalized hospitality.
For years, I’ve had the joy of welcoming travelers from all walks of life—solo adventurers, curious researchers, documentary filmmakers, journalists, and university teams. What connects them all is a desire to experience Ethiopia beyond the surface, and that’s exactly what we offer: tailor-made tours designed around each guest’s interests, pace, and budget. Whether you’re drawn to the vibrant traditions of the Omo Valley, the ancient wonders of Axum and Lalibela, the majestic castles of Gondar, or the surreal landscapes of the Danakil Depression, we craft journeys that feel personal and unforgettable.
Our tours blend cultural depth with natural beauty, and we’re proud to offer both budget-friendly options and high-end experiences. Every itinerary is a collaboration—designed with care, flexibility, and a deep respect for the places and people we visit.
Outside of guiding, I’m passionate about creating uplifting spaces, learning languages (currently practicing Italian and Chinese !), and sharing philosophical reflections that inspire meaningful connections. If you’re traveling through Ethiopia and want to explore with someone who values authenticity, storytelling, and heartfelt hospitality, I’d love to connect.
Let’s make your journey extraordinary.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I believe travel is more than sightseeing—it’s about connection. As a guide and hospitality host in Ethiopia, I’ve spent years helping travelers discover the beauty of our landscapes and cultures. But Couchsurfing offers something deeper: a chance to meet people not just as guests, but as friends.
I love sharing stories, learning from others, and creating meaningful exchanges that go beyond the itinerary. Whether you’re passing through Arba Minch or exploring the Omo Valley, I’m happy to offer local insight, a warm welcome, and maybe even a cup of Ethiopian coffee brewed with care.
Couchsurfing reminds me that the world is full of kind souls and curious minds—and I’m here to be part of that.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing stories, laughter, and the spirit of Ethiopian hospitality. As a local guide and entrepreneur, I bring deep knowledge of our culture, history, and landscapes—from the ancient wonders of Lalibela and Axum to the vibrant traditions of the Omo Valley. If you’re curious about Ethiopia, I’m happy to offer insights, travel tips, and even help plan your journey.
I also enjoy meaningful conversations, exchanging ideas, and learning about other cultures. I can teach a few words in Amharic. And if you’re interested in interior design or nature-inspired aesthetics, I’d love to swap ideas—I’m always exploring ways to make spaces feel uplifting and beautiful.
Above all, I bring openness, respect, and a genuine desire to connect. Whether it’s a short chat or a shared meal, I’m grateful for every moment of exchange.
