About Me

Hi! My name's Chantal and I'll be biketouring🚲 the Baltic countries this summer :) i'm really looking forward to discover Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. I'm coming with an open mind wanting to learn most possible 🌿 and meet you amazing people 🌀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I enjoy most about biketouring is to explore a region differently and to get in touch with locals (also a positive experience with warmshowers-basically couchsurfing for cyclists). Backpacking through The Netherlands encouraged me to also use couchsurfing.
I really wish to discover a country from this perspective and not only the sightseeing spots. Perhaps, I'll learn from you more about the culture and life from a local pont of view?

Interests

Mostly, i go boudlering, meet up with my friends, do photography and read. I'm also interested in home-made crafts, food and so :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading is one of my favorite hobbys. I do like to read one-shot comics, romans and biographies (especially the ones about travelling). My favorite film at the moment is 'Antoinette dans les Cévennes' talking about a woman hiking with a donkey in France. And I love listening to indie pop, like Noah Kahan, the lumineers, The gardener& the Tree, Moictani, Zoë Më and more ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mmh, there are a few. The first one popping up in my mind, is the chocolate pudding I prepared for my friends on our last cycle trip. Perhaps, not as extraordinary, but definetely a nugget of experience. Or the time on a solo travel, when I had my ever-first flat tire and got helped by locals? Or when there was a complete double-rainbow in the sky at the end of a hike day in the swiss alps? Perhaps, i haven't really had that experience, but loads of lovely memories to remember.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Having nice exchanges. Perhaps I can do some Rösti for you (a traditional swiss dish)? :)
