About Me
About Me
Hi! I’m Francisco — 30 years old, businessman born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷
In 2020, I left my comfort zone and moved to Berlin, Germany, with the dream of exploring the world. Since then, I’ve traveled to over 50 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, living incredible experiences and meeting amazing people through Couchsurfing and beyond.
But after all that, I realized that home is where the heart is — and mine is in Argentina. I decided to return to Buenos Aires with a new mission: to give back the kindness and generosity I received from so many hosts during my travels.
I now host travelers in my home and am building a tourism project focused on showing hidden, off-the-map places in Argentina that most tourists never get to see — places full of culture, stories, and natural beauty.
My Background
I'm naturally curious and love learning. I studied:
🖥️ Software Engineering
📊 MBA in Business
🏢 Building Administration
🧘♂️ Buddhist philosophy in Nepal, which led me to pursue a Philosophy degree — a journey that’s deeply personal and ongoing.
I currently work as a software developer, but I’m also an aspiring entrepreneur with dreams of connecting people through culture and meaningful experiences.
What I Love Talking About
I’m always up for deep or fun conversations — especially over a cup of mate (our traditional Argentine tea, which I always carry and love to share!). Topics I enjoy:
💡 Business ideas, entrepreneurship and strategy
🧠 Philosophy, spirituality, and the “why” behind our life paths
🌍 Culture, travel, and local ways of life
💰 Finance and economics
🗳️ Politics and social issues — I’m open to all viewpoints
🍽️ Food — trying new things, cooking, and sharing stories through flavor
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing helped shape who I am. It showed me the beauty of trust between strangers, and how much we can learn from each other when we share a home, a meal, or a story.
Now that I’m back in Buenos Aires, I’d love to:
Host travelers and help them feel the magic of Argentina
Exchange cultures — teach and learn
Build lasting connections and maybe even friendships
Whether you're just passing through or want to dive deep into local life, I’m excited to meet you!
Fun Facts
I always travel with my mate kit — happy to share a round anytime!
I’m building a brand for Argentine instant mate powder — trying to connect local producers with the world
I once spent 3 months exploring remote areas of China, seeking the unknown
Looking forward to meeting, sharing, learning, and hopefully giving you a bit of the same magic that Couchsurfing gave me during my journey 🌍
