A 24 year old Dutch girl who loves traveling around, exploring new cultures, places, traditions, cuisines and people. I am easy going, social, calm and open to new things.

Last year I finished my bachelor in Social Work. After my study I saved up some money and left to South America which ended up being seven months.
I came back in June and started working again. For now in a restaurant, but soon I will start working in the addiction clinic where I had my internship.

During my work I would love to combine my passion for travel and keep exploring some new places and I would like to use couchsurfing as a way to do so.

Hopefully next September I will continue studying and follow a master abroad.

Short, but straight to the point like the Dutch can be: I’m looking for local places to stay and really see that side of a place and not “just” a Airbnb or hostel. And along side of that some friendly people who can give me some local tips and be open to sharing their space with me, which I think is super nice.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love exploring new music and would say I genuinely listen to (almost) everything. My favorite genres though are mostly rock and pop. Some of my favorite artists:
Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, Froukje, The Doors. Recent discovery and on repeat: The Beaches.

I also enjoy a bit of telly. All-time favorite movie is
Forrest Gump, but Mamma Mia never misses as well.

For books I read a bit of everything. Mostly novels, but love getting new book tips or discoveries.

Volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia for two months.

I finished my bachelor in Social Work last year. Loved the study and worked together with all sorts of people, but for my last year I worked at a addiction clinic. Found it very interesting and I learned a lot. Will continue part time in October.

During my travels through South America I volunteered at different places because I love to learn new things and also give back in whatever way suits the program. I did volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary in the middle of the jungle of Bolivia. In Peru I volunteered at a dog shelter. And in Colombia I was helping at a local, remote cacao farm where I was the only volunteer. Very much needed to focus on my Spanish there, since they didn’t speak English… ;)

Loads of amazing experienced where I learned a lot and switch on right away the second people ask about it and try to convince you to do stuff like this yourself (oops, sorry not sorry, because truly one of my most cherished moments of traveling :) ).

I am tidy and can cook a decent meal (vegetarian).

I’m open to conversations and learn new things from all sorts of topics from each other. I love connecting to new people and getting inspired from each other. I am independent and will also just go around and do my own thing.
