About Me
Hi, I'm Lara, a fun and outgoing person who loves meeting new people and sharing experiences. By profession, I’m a physiotherapist, but in my free time, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors—whether it’s hiking up mountains, going for a run, or spending time horseback riding. I also love cooking, especially when I can try out recipes from different cultures. Traveling is a big part of my life, as I’m always eager to learn about new places and connect with locals. Looking forward to meeting you and exchanging stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am new to Couchsurfing because my friend Manca and I decided to go backpacking through the beautiful landscapes of Portugal for the first time. We’re excited to meet locals, maybe join them on a hike, and share some great conversations along the way. We love connecting with new people and learning about different perspectives while traveling!
Interests
My interests include horseback riding, hiking, and running—I’m actually a former athlete! I also love spending time with friends, snowboarding, and skiing. One thing I’m really eager to learn is how to surf, and I can’t wait to try it out, when I get to Lagos.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to all kinds of music—anything that makes me feel good! When it comes to books, I’m a big fan of crime novels, always looking for the next thrilling mystery to dive into. As for movies, romantic comedies are my go-to; I love a good laugh mixed with a heartwarming story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the amazing things I've done was horseback riding through the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland. Riding across vast lava fields and through serene valleys with the unique Icelandic horses made me feel completely connected to nature. The rugged beauty of the country and the bond with the horse made it an adventure I’ll never forget.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’d love to share some Slovenian recipes with you! While cooking might be a bit tricky without all the right ingredients here in Portugal, I can definitely bring you a taste of my culture through the recipes. Besides that, I enjoy sharing stories, hanging out, and talking about my background and experiences. I’m excited to exchange cultures and learn more about yours too!
