About Me

Hi, I’m Salah Solimann – an open-minded, curious, and positive person with a deep interest in new cultures and meaningful connections.
I was born and raised in Italy, originally from Egypt, and I’ve been living in Germany for over 8 years. Soon, I’ll be starting a new chapter in Zurich, Switzerland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t see Couchsurfing simply as a free place to sleep – I see it as a chance to create real connections with people. For me, it’s about discovering a place through the eyes of a local, sharing experiences, and maybe even building new friendships along the way.
I truly believe that hospitality and openness can make the world a little better, and Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to live those values.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable experiences I had was during a solo trip to Spain. I stayed with a local host in Magaluf who introduced me not only to the amazing Andalusian cuisine, but also invited me to a small neighborhood flamenco gathering. It wasn’t a tourist show – it was raw, emotional, and real. People danced, sang, laughed, and shared stories late into the night.
