I am Danny, a soon-to-be 30 year old from the southwest of Ireland. I grew up on a dairy farm and was always very sporty as a child - I was a keen track and field athlete and competed to a high level nationally in 100m sprinting and long jump.

I moved to Dublin for university where I studied Law and German in Trinity College Dublin and where I was also a member of the university rowing club for 4 years.

After finishing university I worked in legal recruitment for a number of years and when my company wound up in April 2024, I decided to take the opportunity to do some travelling in Asia.

Previously I have backpacked through East Africa for a number of months and have also done some shorter trips in Europe and South America.

I am a very sociable person and it would be great to meet some interesting people through Couchsurfing!

Currently I am travelling through Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China) for a few months. In my opinion, the best way to really get a feel for a place is to meet locals which is why I find Couchsurfing so great!
