I am Irem, I am currently doing Erasmus in Portugal. I can describe myself as a very hyperactive, fun and lovely person. I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and living life to the fullest. As a curious person, I am always open to learning and new experiences.

I love fiction and fantasy movies and series that feed my imagination. Harry Potter is my favorite series, and I also have a great admiration for the Star Wars universe. However, I am open to all kinds of movies and series because I believe there is something to learn from every story.

I love expressing myself and creative activities, arta and crafts are my favorite free time activities. Activities that add color to my life include punch, macrame, drawing, culunary and making creative designs with LEGO. Traveling, discovering art and enjoying small details everywhere are my passions.

I love traveling and meeting new people ı love to connect with people that can give me new perspectives and teach me new things; I also really enjoy to improve the languages I know all around
so ı want to connect with locals while traveling, share experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of the places I visit. Couchsurfing feels like a great way to meet people and create unique memories.

Watching animated films is a special passion of mine. Monsters University and Coco are among my favorites with their colorful worlds and captivating stories.

I love creating things with my own hands. I enjoy working on crafts like macrame, punch needle projects, building creative models with LEGO, and expressing myself through drawing. Additionally, I love participating in cultural events, meeting new people, and exploring different perspectives.

Cooking is another area I enjoy; I particularly like trying out new recipes and introducing Turkish cuisine to others. I also enjoy sports like swimming, cycling, and improving myself by learning new skills. Currently, I’m learning Portuguese and trying to use it in my daily life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love getting lost in the deep world of fiction. One of my favorite series is definitely Dark, because subjects like mystery and time travel have always fascinated me. And I’m a fan of HIMYM . As for movies, the Back to the Future trilogy is one of my favorites with its nostalgic and creative story. I also admire the magical worlds of the Harry Potter and Star Wars universes; they take me on a different adventure every time I watch them.

I also love watching animation movies . Especially Disney and Pixar productions are indispensable for me! Monsters University is one of my favorite animations; it makes me laugh and impresses me with its warm story every time I watch it. In addition, animations like Poco are among the productions that impress me with their colorful worlds and strong stories and songs of course .

Actually, I am open to all kinds of movies. I think every story offers a new perspective and a new adventure. Movies, series and animations are escapes for me that feed my imagination and allow me to see the world from different perspectives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share Turkish culture and teach some basic phrases in Turkish. I’m also happy to help with beginner programming concepts. I want to learn more about the daily lives of people in different cultures and improve my Portuguese!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my adventures and my good conversations. I can cook simple but delicious Turkish dishes. I enjoy sharing stories about my travels and teaching some beginner-level tips from all my hobbies. I’m also happy to help with small tasks during my stay.
