À propos de moi

Hi! I'm a writer, director, music maker, language enthusiast, all-around art&culture geek.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

It's always a lot of fun to meet new people, learn about different cultures, have all kinds of conversations and brush up my English.

I now have a flat big enough to accommodate guests. And very soon I'll be off to a long trip across Europe myself.

Centres d'intérêt

Pretty much covered these in my first answer... Theatre, music, writing, graphic design, science, language, word games.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like a broad range of music, from pop to classical, from electro to a cappella.

I try to watch all kinds of movies, but if there was a favourite genre, scifi might be a slight winner. Great films seen recently: A Real Pain, Dune 1&2, Maria, A Complete Unknown, Wallace&Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

I'm a somewhat slow reader, because I get stuck pondering every sentence and imagining the scenes and characters... But I try to read different things. Currently on my nightstand: Homo Deus (by Yuval Noah Harari), The Brooklyn Follies (by Paul Auster) and Children of Time (by Adrian Tchaikovsky).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of my biggest achievements was a huge horror musical "Dracula", which I wrote, composed and directed. We had a group of more than one hundred, and against all odds we pulled it off!

Considering travelling: My trip to Far East in 2015 was amazing, to say the least. In 3,5 months I travelled through Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, China and Thailand. I learned so much, met a lot of interesting people and had so much fun.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I know something about a lot of subjects, but I'm hardly expert on any.

Though there are extensive gaps, I know a great deal about theatre and musicals.

I'm happy to share my thoughts about the places I've visited.

I guess I'm above average solving crossword puzzles and similar games.

And I'm of course more than happy to be your guide in my home town Jyväskylä!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I love talking and hearing about places people have been to. Always happy to cook with a group. I make staggeringly good vegan icecream, if I can find the right ingrediences.
