Sustainable Supply Chain Professional | Explorer at Heart

Hey there! I'm a sustainable supply chain manager with 13 years of experience, currently pursuing my MSc in Sustainable Supply Chain Management at UCD. I love exploring new places, learning from different perspectives, and sharing stories over a good meal. Whether it's a deep conversation about sustainability, a spontaneous adventure, or just chilling with good company, I'm always up for enriching experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel and culture have always been a huge part of my life. Being Indian, having worked and lived in China, the USA, and Singapore, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing diverse cultures firsthand. Every place I’ve called home has shaped my perspective, and I love immersing myself in new environments, meeting people, and understanding their way of life.

I’m also a history buff—I believe every city has a story, and I enjoy uncovering its past through conversations, books, and exploring hidden gems. For me, travel isn’t just about visiting places; it’s about the connections I make and the stories I share. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to experience the world beyond tourist spots and create meaningful memories with like-minded people!

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 Music: My taste in music is diverse, but I deeply love Carnatic music and fusion. I’m especially drawn to bands like Agam, which blend traditional Indian classical music with progressive rock—it’s the perfect mix of old and new! I also enjoy iconic pop bands like Backstreet Boys, nostalgic classics, and world music that brings different cultures together. Music is a big part of my life whether it’s a soulful Carnatic raga, classic rock, or relaxing Lo-Fi.

🎬 Movies: I appreciate films that leave a lasting impression—historical dramas, thrillers, and thought-provoking sci-fi. Some of my favourites include all Indian cinemas, Interstellar, Inception, Shawshank Redemption, Parasite, and compelling world cinema.

📖 Books: As a history enthusiast, I love books that dive into the past, cultures, and human evolution. Some of my favourites are Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, The power of now, The secrets, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. I also enjoy reading about sustainability, business, and global affairs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living and working in different countries—India, China, the USA, and Singapore—has been an incredible journey, shaping my worldview and giving me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity.

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had was traveling along the ancient Silk Road in China. Walking through the ruins of historic trading cities, seeing remnants of old caravan routes, and imagining the exchange of ideas, cultures, and goods that took place centuries ago was a surreal experience. It felt like stepping back in time, blending my love for travel, history, and adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

🔹 Teach – I can share insights on sustainability, supply chains, and how businesses can be more eco-friendly. I also enjoy cooking and can teach you some Indian and Asian-inspired recipes! If you’re interested in Carnatic fusion music, we can dive into that too.

🔹 Learn – I love learning about different cultures, local traditions, and unique ways of life. Whether it’s history, music, or new cuisines, I’m always eager to expand my knowledge.

🔹 Share – Great music recommendations, travel stories, and deep conversations. I’d love to exchange perspectives on life, culture, and global experiences.
