My name is Diego, I am a 19 year old Spanish boy living in Seville and I am looking forward to finish my studies and go out to see the world. I like more and more the fact of talking to local people and getting to know more about the place than just going to the typical places.

I am a critical thinking person, relatively mature (I think more than my age because many times it is easier for me to connect with people who are 2 or 3 years older than me).

I am a very sporty and restless person, I always have to be doing something and as such, I love sports, especially football and water sports (I practice skimboarding and I'm learning to surf, but due to where I live I still can't do it more than a couple of weeks a year :( ). I'm also looking forward to try skiing and snowboarding but I haven't been able to yet.

I love motorsport and cars, and I'm also addicted to adrenaline, either on a wave, feeling the acceleration of a car, in amusement parks, etc (I want to do bungee jumping and skydiving but I don't have the resources to be able to do it yet).

Finally I am a complete hater of technology and the current way of communication (whatsapp messages). I consider that the mobile phone atrophied my creativity and partly happiness when my parents gave it to me. And years later I have realized that it is responsible for most of the problems of today's society. In fact I have a thousand applications to avoid opening social media apps and games and I always try to call by phone rather than send a whatsapp that can lead to misunderstandings or problems that do not exist, but often it is impossible.

I am also a great advocate of entrepreneurship and not settle for something that allows you to enjoy life just a few days a week, I think it is better to look for something that doesn't make you stay in a physical place and allows you to always enjoy while doing something you like.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

For the past few years I have been traveling alone, without waiting for others to decide to come or not, and it is the best decision I have made in a long time.
I like more and more the fact of talking to local people and getting to know more about the place than just going to the typical places.

Some time ago I discovered this platform and decided to give it a try, I am excited about the idea of traveling by spending time with culturally different people and discovering their different points of view. So I can meet foreign people either traveling by myself (the only bad thing about solo traveling is that you can have a bad day and not talk to anyone) or meeting in my city.

Im a lover of the sports (mainly the risky and the water ones); I like also a lot the animals and nature in general (the sea above all); I like cars, motorsport, F1 (you know all this kind of things); I love cooking and eating (the second one more); I'm and adrenaline addict; I like to think about different themes and I point of view.

I'm not a big music fan, I like to listen to a little bit of everything (sometimes just the radio), I like Spanish music from 10-20 years ago, rock music that is not too hard (AC/DC is very good), pop music from time to time and party music, reggaeton and some trap music from time to time.

Something more or less similar to music happens to me, I really like making cinematic videos and in general analyzing how they are filmed, the dialogues, video and audio effects... But I'm not what you would consider a movie buff who watches every movie that comes out.

Even so I have 3 movies that I like very much:

It takes me a world to find a book I like and in general to find time to read (it's a habit I've more or less managed to implement in my life but it's taken me a long time).

In general I really like crime novels (my favorite is: And Then There Were None) and finance books (now I'm reading: The Intelligent Investor).

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

One of the most incredible things I have ever done was to swim in a frozen lake in Finland at 1 am at -15ºC.

And I also remember once I was doing nine hours of stopover at night in an airport where there was absolutely no one, with some friends from Seville and others from Barcelona who were also doing stopover there (it was a coincidence and it has been one of the best nights of my life).

Apart from that not much else, until recently I have always traveled with my family and it has never been anything impressive (that is going to change very soon).

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

I bring enthusiasm and desire to live experiences and share my time.

I can also teach and cook typical food from Seville and Spain (I am not an expert, but I really like to do it). As well as teaching how to dance the typical dance of my city, La Sevillana (it is danced in a week every year where there is a party called La Feria).

I can also talk about what I know (I don't say the things I have knowledge about because this section is not to brag about it)
