Overview
About Me
Hi, i'm Bruno Lira, 24 years old, i love to travel in my country and now is my first trip overseas.
I learned English on my own through music and Beyonce was one of the main artists who helped me on this journey. Today I am fulfilling a dream of attending her concert in Paris.
I like long conversations, going out for drinks and getting to know people and cultures. I think that is my main focus on this trip, making connections and exchanging stories and knowledge with whoever I meet.
I am passionate about music. We can talk about this topic for hours. Art is also a big part of my life. I did theater for years and, in addition to winning awards as an actor, I also travel around my country performing. This basically shaped who I am today.
Fashion is also another passion of mine, I would love to be a model, but unfortunately I was not blessed with the necessary height, but I know that one day they will give this little guy a chance.
I currently work as a graphic designer, creating posters, flyers, and 3D objects for a variety of platforms.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Madrid is my gateway to Europe, but after researching more about the city I found it very interesting, and I would like to stay longer to get to know the culture. That is why I decided to join Couchsurfing so that I could enjoy the city more without spending so much on accommodation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 17, I joined a theater group and stayed there for 3 years. There were about 30 actors and we did a play where we were all on stage. In addition to the theater, these people became my family, and a very big one at that. These people are with me to this day and have had a huge impact on the person I have become. One great achievement was that we were able to participate in a theater show in our country and travel to several states presenting our work.
Traveling on a bus with this whole troupe for so many days was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. We created such strong bonds, we laughed and cried together for months, which made us even more connected.
At the end of all this, I even received an award for best new actor for performing a yoga routine with extremely complex movements.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a very observant and analytical person, so I can teach people how to think about a situation differently, which helps a lot in overcoming issues in any area, whether it be emotional, at work, or decorating your home.
I also work as a director and help people and companies find their tone of voice and a creative way to express their ideas to the world.
I love languages and I like to learn about everything, so I am very open when it comes to learning, especially if the subject is something like black culture, history, LGBT culture.
I also love to cook, we can share some recipes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
One thing I can share is my sense of humor, how to look at life in a different way, how changing your field of vision can change how we deal with it.
