About Me
Hey! I'm Óscar from Mexico 🇲🇽 currently living in France. I'm finishing my masters in Grenoble.
I love football and sports, going to events, exploring new cities, music festivals, and meeting people. I'm curious, open-minded, and always down to learn something new, whether it's food, a language, a culture or just someone else's perspective.
I really like laughing and I love provoking laughs on others.
I am interested in a bit of everything, that’s something I like from me but also sometimes a weakness.
I like traveling and the feeling of everything is new everyday, because of that I don’t see myself living for long in one place until growing up more haha
A personal dream is to one day make a 32 weeks travel in my country, a week each state because I really love it but it is so big I think it can take a long time to see all of it. After that I can start thinking on the second one: traveling as many countries as my life allows me to :D
I used to have the app but never really used it
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During long time I was a bit of an introvert person (still am), but I believe in real human connections and shared experiences is what is important in life. And during traveling I’ve had the chance to encounter that, for me isn’t just about places, it’s about people.
Interests
Tech, robotics, football, sports, cultural exchange, spontaneous adventures, food, conversations, music, intersection between creativity and technology.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy everything from alternative, electronic music from chill genres to hard ones, and also Latin rhythms.
Recently I haven’t watched many movies, but I for sure enjoy watching them and getting recommendations. I used to love watching series, specially sitcoms and thrillers. The office is my forever favorite.
I dont read a lot but I enjoy learning about psychology, history and science.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The chance of coming from a small town and be able to live in different parts and countries that I wouldn’t have imagined when I was a child. It changed my life, opened my mind, and showed me how much more there is to learn and discover out there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some tech stuff, Spanish, my culture, how to cook Mexican food, or whatever I might be able to share!
I love learning from people perspectives and lives, culture and share knowledge
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect, good conversation, a curious mind, and a willingness to help. I don’t need much to be happy and I always try to leave a positive vibe behind.
Not less important, I can cook for you Mexican food :D
Also the freedom to hit me up if you where wanted to visit Mexico (trust me is really worth it to visit with a local), or any other country I might be (now France). Accomodation and local experiences.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United States
