I am Francesco from the sunny Sicily. I am a PhD in philosophy of arts, a writer and a book translator. I love music, and I play guitar. My other interests include photography, junghian psychology, and cats!
For most part of the year, I live with my old parents and my younger sister in a big vacation house in Salina Island, one of the seven Aeolian Islands, a very beautiful and touristic location, especially in summer. The Aeolian Islands are UNESCO Heritage, and Salina is well-known for the uncontaminated sea and mountains, the stunning sunsets from the bay of "Pollara", the typical sicilian foods, and for having been the set of the Academy Awards-winning movie "Il Postino : The Postman".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am willing to offer an opportunity of Couchsurfing/Homesharing in order to have a good cultural exchange, to learn a bit of a foreign language, and/or significantly improve my English. The ideal guest would provide a valuable exchange, a good company, with desire of engaging in outdoors activities and sharing life experiences, and with a natural spirit of cooperation in the few household tasks. Preferred couchsurfers with common interests, such as arts, music, books, philosophy, or in general with a deep feeling for the Nature.
