About Me
I am living in this wonderful little vineyard village since 2002 with my husband and family. Since our two daughters are grown up and go their own ways we have a lot of space in our house. I work as a goldsmith in the nearby little town, only about five kilometres away. I love outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, biking, gardening, ….
I play the guitar and like going to concerts. We love to travel with our VW campervan , explore the country, make new friends or meet old friends..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Inspired by my daughters who also like to travel and did some work-away , WWOOFING and couchsurfing I decided to register on Couchsurfing. We’ve always enjoyed to have guests and friends in our house and spend time together. That’s why I like to be a host for people from all over the world. I am looking forward to listen to people talking about their home country and their experiences with travelling and sharing their culture.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kind of music, Blues, Pop, Rock ,Folk,……also classic music.
I actually don’t watch a lot of movies but I like reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Difficult to decide…☺️
The latest very amazing thing I’ve done was going on skitour in northern Norway, on Senja island with my husband and daughters. Absolutely wonderful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to cook and I do bake my own sourdough bread. I’m also, because of my profession, quite good in fixing and repairing things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As we live quite in the countryside I would like to share my favourite walks with you, or go for a bicycle ride . If the weather is nice we might go kayaking on the river Enz or go for a swim in the summertime. This place is surrounded by vineyards, meadows, forests and the river, and is very lovely. We also might explore the Black Forest that starts just around the corner. Only about 15 kilometres away is the Maulbronn Monastery Complex that belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage. There are nice towns nearby like Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart and some interesting big and small museums like the „Staatsgallerie Stuttgart“ or the „Musikautomaten - Museum“ in a town called Bretten, just to name some.
