Hi, I am Ariana, 55 years old. I always loved to travel to discover other people, culture and nature. I slowed it during my mum's duties but now my children are grown up.
During summer 2024, I slow traveled with my daughter Jeanne from Paris to Taïwan so I had some Couch Surfing experiences (see pictures please).
This summer 2025, I will slow travel through north Europe : Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Berlin.
So I hope to meet new people thanks to Couch Surfing

Interests

I like different kind of art like architecture, painting, sculpture, design, music, cinema and litterature. I also like to upgrade and redesign old fournitures. I am a big fan of Formula 1. Of course, I love to travel

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kind of music, classical, jazz, rock, world, but my favourites are 70s/80s rock and arabian sounds.
My favourite books are 19s century litterature, crime and graphic novels. My finest contemporaries writers are Virginie Despentes, Michel Houellebecq, Camilla Grebe, Jonathan Coe and Ante Tomić.
I watch very differents movies from all over the world and of differents periods. My bests directors are Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Wes Anderson and Bong Joon-ho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During the summer travel 2024 from Paris to Taïwan, we crossed 12 countries including Kyrgyzstan. There, we stoped in Talas to go hiking through the natural park Besh-Tash towards the big mountain's lake, 30 km away. We were told that hitch-hiking was possible because many farmers were there during that period. So we had walking and driving times.
Our first driver invited us with his 3 years old son to his farm for a tea.
The second one took us just before and after a huge rain.
The third car was a simple van with 3 men, but when we opened the back door, we discovered about 10 other people ! They brought us directly to the lake but the road was very very bad so we already shared a lot of falls and laughs. They also invited us to share their picnic of local food cooked on woodfire. During the meal, each person said a thanks prayer for this moment. They also brought us back in Talas.
That was my most precious memory of this travel, full of kindness, warmth, good mood and sharing ❤
