About Me

Hi! I’m a Computer Engineering student studying in Turkey. This semester, I’m in Koper, Slovenia as part of the Erasmus mobility program.
I see life as a very complex painting — and that’s exactly why every culture and every person is so special: we’re all looking at the same painting, but each of us sees and values a different part of it... Let’s continue that thought in the 'Why I’m on Couchsurfing' section :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So, as I’ve already started talking about, I really want to understand how people from completely different backgrounds and environments see life... That kind of diversity is such a beautiful richness, and I’d love to witness it.
Also, since hospitality is in the blood of Turkish people, I’d be genuinely happy to host others — it would create a meaningful, two-way connection! I really love that idea.

Interests

I really love trying new food from different cultures. If I don't have the opportunity to go there and try it, I learn and cook it myself :)
As for hiking, I think it's one of the best ways to explore nature — it gives you the freedom to stop, observe the details, and listen to the sound of the wind...

Right now, I'm learning Farsi because I want to read Rumi’s Masnavi in the original. I also love learning about the culture behind the language — for me, they go hand in hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
My music taste is like aşure :D It's a dessert traditionally made on Ashura Day, rooted in Islamic culture and said to originate from the Noah's Ark story. If we ever get the chance to meet, I’d love to show you what music and aşure have in common :D

BOOKS
When it comes to books my taste is like aşure again :D I love generally sci-fi but also classics like Dostoevsky. Some books that just come to my mind are:

Wild Palms from faulkner.
I, Robot - Asimov.
1984,
Brave New World...

MOVIES/SERIES
Star Wars series.
ALL GHIBLI STUDIO MOVIES!!! LOVE THEM. I would really love to talk about the symbols in them! I really like the layered story full of symbols they have...
Midnight in Paris.
Amélie.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
1984...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, everything in life is amazing — just think about how all these incredibly complicated mechanisms and the whole system keeps working every single moment! It blows my mind!!! But if I have to give a specific example, I’d say the hot air balloons in Cappadocia at sunset. That view was just breathtaking

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a curious mind to appreciate their unique perspective :)
I would genuinely love to have conversations about philosophy, spiritualism, life, and personal experiences.

I'm also someone who deeply respects other people’s living spaces—thanks to years of dorm life, I’ve learned to be as tidy and organized as possible.

Oh, and I can also cook some delicious Turkish food if you'd like! :) Oh also I can teach Turkish too! And can learn some from your language!
