Overview
About Me
I grew up in Romania, in a charming city near the Hungarian border, surrounded by culture and close to beautiful mountains. In 2024, I started my studies in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences at the Technical University of Eindhoven. I’ve always been genuinely passionate about learning through experience and developing new skills. I enjoy working with my hands, especially when it comes to model making and crafting with wood, which is one of the reasons I love studying the built environment.
Besides spending my days with architecture-related things, I also love being outdoors. My favorite sports are skiing, snowboarding, and climbing. I practiced folk dancing for many years as a child, and later I switched to Taekwon-do ITF, in which I’ve been granted a black belt. I enjoy meeting new people, learning how others live and think, and exchanging stories and perspectives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to discover the world and the people who shape it. As an architecture student, I’ve become even more passionate about understanding cities not just through their buildings, but through the lives and cultures of the people who live in them.
Couchsurfing gives me a way to travel on a student budget, while offering the chance to make connections with locals and to experience the places more in-depth. I believe the best way to understand the built environment is through people, by how they live, what they value, and how they shape the spaces around them. Besides that, I’m also passionate about discovering nature, because just like people change from region to region, so does the biosphere.

Teach, Learn, Share
To learn: In one of my courses, I was taught that "cities are for the people, by the people, of the people," and that idea really stayed with me. Through Couchsurfing, I want to discover that connection from as many perspectives as possible.
To teach: I’d be happy to teach a few words in Romanian or Hungarian, or share some basics of Taekwon-do. I also enjoy conversations about architecture and design, or structural engineering.
To share: I’m always excited to learn something new. Whether it’s local cuisine, a creative hobby, or someone’s personal life experience, I’m open and curious.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good conversations, an open mind, and a positive attitude. I’m respectful, independent, and always willing to help with small things around the house. I can cook something simple, share stories about life as a student abroad or about life in Eastern Europe.
I see Couchsurfing as a two-way exchange and I’ll do my best to make the time we share enjoyable for both of us.
