About Me

My name is Alma, which means Soul in English. Over the years I’ve grown to really appreciate both my name and its special meaning. I’m originally from a small city called Malargüe, in the south of Mendoza, Argentina. It’s a beautiful place surrounded by mountains and more than 800 volcanoes, with landscapes I haven’t seen anywhere else. The best part of growing up there was having a ski center nearby—every winter I spent time there, and those are some of the most wonderful memories of my childhood.

I’m currently studying Biology in North Carolina, a field I love because it’s always moving, changing, and teaching me something new—just like life itself.

I’m a pretty free soul. Living abroad has helped me discover myself, learn to value life in new ways, and see the world from a more beautiful perspective. I love traveling, exploring new cultures and cities, and meeting people along the way. I consider myself very sociable—I enjoy sharing my Argentine culture, and I truly appreciate when others share theirs with me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music, and I especially love when people share what they listen to with me. When I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, I usually play music from my home country. But if I had to choose a favorite artist, it would definitely be Harry Styles. I grew up listening to the boy band One Direction, and he was always my favorite of the five.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to move to the United States to pursue my dream of studying here is definitely the best thing I’ve done so far. I feel very lucky to have the support of my family and friends, who are always cheering me on from afar. This experience has not only allowed me to study the career I chose, but also to meet amazing people from all over the world, explore cities that were on my wish list, and grow tremendously as a person. It has truly opened my mind, showing me different realities and giving me experiences I never could have imagined, completely changing my perspective on life.
