About Me
This is a new Couchsurfing account because my old one was unfortunately blocked by the platform — but I’m not new to Couchsurfing or travel. I’ve already hitchhiked over 6000+ km across India and stayed with kind strangers who’ve now become friends.
Hi, I’m Raman — a dreamer turned traveler, exploring the world in the rawest way possible.
I’ve given up flights, hotels, and comfort to embrace hitchhiking, Couchsurfing, a tent, and a sleeping bag. I’m currently on a 100-day journey across Northeast India, collecting real stories, cultures, and human connections — all documented on my YouTube channel Explore with Raman.
If you host me, you’re not just giving me a place to sleep — you’re becoming a part of my story. Hope to meet you and share a cup of chai & stories💛
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hi, I’m Raman! I’m just a simple guy with big dreams and a passion for exploring the world. I believe in living life to the fullest, meeting new people, and sharing unforgettable moments.
Traveling has taught me that every person has a story, and I love listening to those stories while sharing mine. Couchsurfing is my way of connecting with people who inspire me, show me new perspectives, and make my journey more meaningful.
I’m here to make friends, exchange cultures, and create memories that last a lifetime. Let’s meet, laugh, and explore the beauty of this world together!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, Movies, and Books
------------------------
I love music that feels like a journey—whether it’s soulful indie tracks, upbeat road trip anthems, or relaxing folk tunes that remind me of sunsets on the road.
When it comes to movies, I’m inspired by stories that showcase adventure, exploration, and personal growth. Movies like Into the Wild, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty are some of my favorites.
As for books, I enjoy stories that fuel my wanderlust and teach me about the world. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Vagabonding by Rolf Potts have been my travel companions and inspirations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve had the thrill of climbing the challenging Harihar Fort, where every step brought me closer to an epic view that made all the hard work worth it. The journey itself was a test of strength, but the reward was priceless!
But that’s not all—I hitchhiked across all of India, relying on nothing but the kindness of strangers and a bit of luck. From riding in trucks to cozy car rides, each journey added a new chapter to my travel story. The people I met, the places I saw, and the adventures I lived made me realize that life’s true treasures lie in the unexpected moments.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I love sharing my travel experiences and the little life lessons I've picked up along the way. Whether it’s about hitchhiking, exploring hidden gems in India, or making the most out of every moment on the road, I’m always ready to pass on what I’ve learned.
Learn: I’m eager to learn from everyone I meet! Whether it’s new languages, different cultures, or unique travel hacks, I’m always curious to hear others' stories and broaden my perspective.
Share: I believe the best thing you can share is knowledge and experience. I’m happy to share my travel tips, stories, and any advice I’ve gained on my journey to inspire others to follow their dreams.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the beauty of travel stories from my adventures across India, and the lessons I’ve learned while hitchhiking and exploring hidden places. I love exchanging cultures and talking about different traditions, helping everyone see the world through new eyes.
I’m also happy to share my love for photography and travel videos. If you’re interested in learning how to capture moments or even create travel content, I can offer some tips and tricks!
Most importantly, I bring a positive, open-minded attitude and the willingness to contribute to your space with a smile, good conversations, and maybe even a meal or two from my travels!
