Hello! My name is Sofija, I'm 21 years old and currently living in Latvia, where I study Public Relations and Marketing Management at university.
I’ve just returned from an Erasmus exchange program in Cyprus, and it was truly a life-changing experience. Getting to know new people, exploring different cultures, and seeing the world from new perspectives made me realize how much I want to continue exploring and learning from the world around me.
That’s why I’ve decided to travel this summer while I have the time and freedom to do so. It’s always been my dream, and I’m so excited to finally follow it.🥳
I’m a very open-minded, kind, and communicative person who loves meeting new people. I absolutely love animals and dancing is my passion.
I believe that the best connections are made when we share our stories and our kindness with others and I truly believe that all the good you put into the world comes back to you.

📍CURRENT MISSION
✨Me and my boyfriend are on a mission to travel the world with zero money, relying on the kindness of strangers and the beauty of human connection. We’re two young souls with a big dream - to see the world, connect with new people, and experience cultures firsthand.

We’ve left behind our jobs, our homes, and definitely our comfort zones to set out on a long journey across the globe and we’re doing it with just one euro in our pockets. Documenting our journey in a video series that highlights how open, generous, and welcoming people are across different cultures and countries. 🫶🏼

We want to show that even from a small country like Latvia🇱🇻, the courage to dream big and take bold steps exists. 🙏With nothing but pure energy, trust in humanity, and the joy of youth, we’ve thrown ourselves into the unknown, without knowing what the next day will bring.

This adventure is not just about seeing the world, but it’s also about experiencing it through the eyes of others😊 We want to use Couchsurfing to meet locals, share stories, learn about new ways of life, and build meaningful connections along the way. I enjoy all kinds of music. I love fiction and Disney movies—my favourites for many years have been The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner. As for Disney, there are just so many I love. I used to read books before, but now I guess I just can’t find the right one.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

We are ready to help with any work in the house or garden. My boyfriend-Filip loves to cook. Personally, if there are kids, I can easily look after them—I have three little cousins and a younger sister, so I have a lot of experience babysitting. We truly want to give back something positive and help in any way we can. Of course, we also want to share our experience and, most importantly, spread positive energy.
